Put some tax rebate money in my hands and give me a Buy 2 Get 1 Free Sale and I go a little crazy. This weekend I bought the following items from Gamestop. I spent almost exactly $200. And yes, I did separate the items into multiple transactions to get the best values on my "1 free"s (e.g. getting three of the most expensive games separately to ensure one of them would be taken off).

Donkey Kong
Game & Watch Gallery 2
An actual Game Boy Color - Purple
Kirby's Dream Land 2

Man, that's a lot of dough you saved. Just imaging buying this stuff when they were first released! I too, am sort of a collector or sorts. For some reason, I bought a Gameboy Micro. I know I really don't need it because I also have a DS, but playing street fighter on it sold me ( I bought it from a friend). It's as small as my cellphone and it is easily concealed if I'm waiting in line and don't want to announce my geeky side.
By the way, I love the name of your blog site. Cool and original, plus the picture of the PS3 controller/mustache. =)
Happy Gaming!
Thanks for the nice words!
Now I have a DS and a Gameboy Color but part of me still wants to get a Gameboy Advance, even though I absolutely don't need one. I like my Gameboy Color, and it was only $10, but since it isn't backlit you need like a giant spotlight pointed at you if you want to play the silly thing, and my DS won't run GB or GBC games.
Before I went to Gamestop I made a list of the games I wanted that they had in stock (using their website) and compared the price of each one to what it would be on Amazon Marketplace. Except for Super Mario Sunshine, which I just wanted, every other game I ended up choosing was cheaper at Gamestop, and I think I saved like $200 or some nonsense.
Plus no shipping and handling!
